As we look and see the state of the world around us, it is evident that what the Scriptures have foretold are coming to pass. For those of us who are saved and know God, this brings excitement as well as a sense of urgency.  We are excited to see that the signs of the Lord's return are everywhere around us, letting us know that His coming could happen at any moment. No other generation has seen these events come to pass as we have.

However, this awareness also brings a sense of urgency. We have lost friends and loved ones who have not yet accepted Christ as their Saviour. We have neighbors and those in our communities who have not made the decision to follow Christ. Knowing that the days are short, this should cause every believer to spring forward into action.  We must go into all the world, as Scripture mandates, and tell someone the Good News of Jesus Christ. 

It is my hope that the Alva Church of God will be a lighthouse to the Alva community and the surrounding areas. A place that is known as a house of prayer, a house of love, and a house of hope.
